Keeping Warm On Cold Days.

Winter is finally here! Although I've always loved the cold weather, spending my first winter in Chicago has been a difficult one. Growing up in the middle east, I've never experienced the temperature drop more than 2°C. Coming to Chicago, it can drop as low as -25°C! NEGATIVE 25!! I won't lie, most days I question myself on why I decided to move here! Lol. Aside from that, I love looking out the window and seeing everything covered in white! I love seeing all the lights and Christmas decor outside. Although, I wish it was a bit warmer, there's nothing like experiencing true winter spirit than living in the Mid-West.

The key to get by these freezing months is to LAYER up! I cannot begin to explain how important that is!! Anything that has fleece in it is your best friend. I wanted to put up a blog post on different outfits you can put together for the winter time and I finally had the time to take some shots for it.

I will say that I am very disappointed in myself for not getting more than 2 outfits for this post. It has been very difficult trying to manage my time with all the stress that comes with moving into a new place and trying to organize a bunch of things! So, I sincerely apologize for not having a lot of pictures in this post but I still wish that you guys can find some ideas and inspiration on ways you can style yourself for the winter time! Enjoy :)

1. Beanies, trench coats and scarves.

Like I've said before, layering is very important in keeping warm during those cold winter days. Beanies for one are a necessity, they keep your head and ears warm which I'm all up for! This one in particular is my favorite! It has pom pom ears!

Scarves are my best friends! They instantly makes an outfit pop and keeps your neck super warm. It's also a plus when out doors since I can drown half of my face in it when it gets super cold!

Sweater: H&M
Trench Coat: Forever 21

Jeans: Asos
Boots: Forever 21

Trench coats are my favorite thing! They're so easy to layer and matches almost anything. Super comfy and cute!

Beanie: Forever 21- Out of Stock (Similar)

2. Teddy Coats

This is the first teddy coat I've ever owned and the only one! It's keeps you super warm and is so easy to throw on with any outfit! It is more on the baggy side, so it allows you to layer underneath as much as you like!

Coat: Forever 21
Turtle Neck Sweater: Aéropostale

Sock Booties are a big trend this year, these ones are from Forever 21. Super affordable and comfy. I love wearing these because they make your feet look long and gives the illusion of slimmer legs.

Jeans: Asos
Boots: Forever 21

Beanie: H&M (Similar)
Glasses: Asos (Out of Stock)
Gloves: (Similar)

Hope you guys enjoyed this short post! I promise to make up for it on the next one. Love you guys!

Street Art of Chicago.

Hiii guys! Wow, am I excited for today's blog post! I wanted to post something a little different on my blog but I wasn't sure what. Last week, as Paolo (my ) and I were driving by North Chicago, I noticed a lot of street art and asked him to pull over for us to take some pictures. I went home that day, sat on my bed and grabbed my camera. As I was looking through the pictures, I realized this is what I wanted my new blog post to be! I quickly grabbed my cellphone to go on Pinterest to check on possible locations to find some more street art and I was lucky enough to find a post by Jenn Lake. She dedicated a whole post about Street Art in Chicago and a guide on where to locate them. I was so excited about this and I have her to be thankful for the inspiration. Incase any of you would like to check out her blog, I'll link it at the end of this post! I hope you guys enjoy, it was so fun to take these shots and at the same time explore Chicago for it's true hidden beauty. Chicago is one of my favorite cities and after seeing all of this, I love it even more! I hope this inspires you to take a trip down to this beautiful city. Enjoy!

If you decide to visit any of these locations, please feel free to tag me in your posts! I would love to see your shots as well :)

Let's Keep It Professional

We struggled taking this shot because of it's location. It was right under a bridge and a
lot of cars kept passing by. Other than that, the art is so beautiful!

Philippines 2016.

Hi guys! I'm finally posting a blog about my trip to the Philippines. It took me so long to put this up, I have no idea why. But anyway, here it is!! My family and I were there for about 2 weeks. I loved every minute of it. We stayed in Manila for a couple of days then flew to my mom's home town, Bacolod. Bacolod is my favorite city in the Philippines! I took up college there for 4 years and it was the best 4 years of my life. Going back there is always an exciting experience for me, I get to see some of the best friends I have until today, I get to eat food that I've missed and I get to just reminisce how life was years ago and how much has changed! I've said it a million times but Bacolod is always ALWAYS going to be my favorite place to visit! I am very grateful for always having the opportunity to travel back there. Hope you enjoy the pictures down below of our adventures. Here's to many more!

We all know by now how much my sister loves watching concerts. This year she got us tickets to watch 5 Seconds of Summer, it was such a fun concert and I promised myself not to take " a lot " of pictures and to just enjoy the moment as it is.

Look at that crowd though! :)

A trip to the Philippines is never complete without some boba! :P

We found this cute place for breakfast but I wasn't a big fan of the service. The waffles were pretty bomb though. :P

Loved this day!

We took a trip down to a ranch called Bantug, it was our second time there and it has drastically changed from the last time we visited! So much more beautiful this time around. :)

I honestly forgot the name of this horse, but she/he was friendly! Hehe.

Go Karting is one of our favorite things to do despite the " I'm about to shit my pants " face Kim had on. Haha. I love you, Kim! :)

I have a big fear of heights so this day was a milestone for me! Campuestohan is a great holiday stop for families. :)

This rope course was no joke, it was a whole body workout!

It was a pretty hot day too!

G.N.O.!! Let's be real, for us, it stands for Grannies Night Out. Lol! We can't stay up past 12, when that clock hits midnight, it's time for us to hit the sack! Am I right ladies? Hehe.

Our last full day in Bacolod we took the chance to just walk around Lacson St. and take a few shots in some cool (but very dirty) places. Hehe

I love my Banans!

#SSHK

I wasn't kidding when I said it was "very" dirty. Hehe. There was literally a point when we were taking our shots, that we spotted a dead rat, I swear to you I'm not lying! Behind every great picture is a story. This just happens to be a trashy one. ;)

We love you, Kimmy! :)

How beautiful is my sister though!! :)

Looking back on all these pictures, I'm so grateful for all the memories I made on this trip. I love pulling up my camera whenever I get the chance. When I take a look at those shots, days, months and years from that time, it just brings back those exact moments and how happy we were, that’s my favorite thing about pictures. It reminds me of a special time. I hope I get to have even greater memories, I hope that you guys will too. Love you all! Until the next adventure! :)
